Shadow of the Colossus won 5 prizes in GDC including Best Game. Last year, if I remember correctly, God of War won this prize. Meaning, Sony got Best Game for two years in a row (PS2 is all alive). I believe that Sony is doing something special for the industry as they give freedom for developers to produce such high quality games. Also, God of War 2 is coming next year. And yes, it is on PS2. A new Zelda was announced for DS too.

I just saw a great image of Lair on PS3. The game looks real next-gen (but games are not to be judged by looks alone). Anyway, I hope PS3 get some good launch titles. Hopefully, Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom will be good. Resistance: Fall of Man (aka I-8) should be released just after PS3 launch. I'm really looking forward for it.

Oblivion on XBOX 360 got real good reviews: 9.6 Gamespot, and 9.3 IGN. I hope 1UP will review it soon. Either way, I can't wait to get it along with Daxter and Metal Gear AC!D 2 on PSP. Yet still, to me, the best thing about this month is Kingdom Hearts II.

That's all for today, sayonara.

Today, arab news - an English newspaper, had an article titled "To Tell You Who I Am" on page 3 which talked about the "I Belong" project. It had a picture of Lina and another of both Matt and Faisal. Both pictures were taken last Monday during the dinner party held for the participants in "I Belong" workshop.

That's it for now, sayonara.

I BelongER

So, I'm back from the work shop which was held in Al Khobar in Carlton al Moaibed Hotel for three days. And guess what, our mentor was (and still is) Matt Whyman (check the link to the right).

We were a group of seven: 3 x Ali + Faisal + Turki + Khalid + Sadeq. We are all very thankful to the British Council in Al Khobar in Saudi Arabia; namely Lina, Samer, and Steve. And we are most thankful to Matt Whyman, our mentor, for the lovely three-day-work-shop we had.

The I Belog project is far from finished and this is only the beginning. Look forward to more on I Belong.

Next week I'll attend a work shop held by the British Council as part of the I Belong project (check the link to the right for more info). I earned this opportunity by sending a short story I wrote called 'Apple' to the British Council office here in Khobar in Saudi Arabia.

The work shop will be presented by a UK best selling author (don't know the name yet). It will start on Sunday 19 March till Tuesday 21 March (8 a.m. - 5 p.m. everyday). I don't know who else will be there but I should know tomorrow when we meet in a hotel prepearing for the event.

This should be a great start for me as a writer since I am an engineering student (but art is my true love).
